Dear Chefs
Nepal is a tiny country in Himalaya. It is lying in between China and India. In these days its main introduction is Mt. Everest. Kathmandu is the capital city. The altitude of Nepal varies from North to south. In north there are Majestic Himalayas with high altitude and in south it is low land of Terai.
Since I am one of the founder member of Chefs Association Nepal, from long time my friends were asking me to make one program for Chefs from around the world to make one trekking program in this regards they will visit Nepal and visit the Chefs Association of Nepal too.
In Nepal the Chefs Association was established in 1996-05-04 and this association has done many social jobs such as blood donations, food festivals, training program and participate many functions organized by Nepal tourism board and tourism organization of Nepal. Now it has its own office new building in Kathmandu. The Executive members of this association want to make inauguration of this building from an elderly international chef.
In our program we have one day visit the chefs association office and meeting with all executive members of the association. Association will organize the program for each group which comes here in different time period. These meetings will be held after finishing the trek.
In Kathmandu there will be 5 days. Two days before the trek and three days after the trek.
First two days, one day the day of arrival will be meeting with the trekking people and little brief about the trekking. The second day will be free day for shopping some necessary things for the trek.

Itinerary:
With a magnificent flight of 35 minutes to Lukla and from Lukla the trail meanders north along the Dudh Kosi before bounding up to Namche, where Khumbu and the serious scenery start. Beyond Namche, the trail veers northeast into a tributary valley and climbs to Tyangboche, surrounded by protected juniper forest and commanding a show stealing view of everybody’s favorite peak, Ama Dablam. Tengboche’s much-photographed monastery burned down in January 1989 and now we have new one built in 1990. Mani Rimdo, the Sherpa dance drama festival is held here on the full moon of November – December. The trail continues to Pangboche, and onto Pheriche/Dingboche. Ascending the moraine of the Khumbu glacier and passing a series of monuments to Sherpas killed on Everest to reach Lobuche, the route bends north again. On the next day glacier’s lateral moraine brings you to Gorakshep. Climb up the grassy mound of Kala Patthar: panoramic views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8511m.), Nuptse (7861m.), as well as the pinnacle Mt. Pumori (7165m.)
Day 01: arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel, room allocation and rest.
Day 02: Necessary shopping and arrangement for the trek.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla at 7:30 am. Upon arrival Lukla, we meet and join our staffs, and right at this point on we are ready to begin the ascent to base camp. Our first day is an easy walk to lush environs of Phakding, located on the Dudh Kosi River.
Day 04: We follow the Dudh Kosi, ascending 2650m. through Himalayan Pine and Deodar cedar forests, to the celebrated village of Namche Bazaar (3850m'). The village of Namche is an historic trading post where Nepalese and Tibetan traders exchange salt, dried meat, gold and textiles. Besides being a superb place to shop for traditional crafts, Namche remains the central trading post in the Khumbu region, attracting Himalayan and lowland merchants. Our groups spend two nights in Namche affording the opportunity to acclimate and to visiting the village of Thame. Our Lodge will be located at the market/town center.
Day 05: Day trip to Thame, overnight at Namche same lodge.
Day 06: We continue on and climb to the village of Tengboche (12,683'), the cultural and religious center of the Khumbu. At the monastery we observe the Buddhist ceremonies and rituals performed by local monks in the evening or in the morning. Vistas from Tengboche are spectacular. The jagged peaks of Thamserku and Kangtega stand to our south, as Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam are visible to the north. The Monastery at Tengboche is one of the most well known in the world as the Rinpoche is revered throughout the Buddhist community and has authored a number of books and essays. In the past our groups have had an audience with the Rinpoche and received his blessing. This is often a moving and intense experience. Views from this locale (one of the finest on earth), include Kwangde 20,293' , Tawachee 21,457', Nuptse 25,843', Lhotse 27,883', Everest 29,021', Ama Dablam 22,487', Kantega 22,235', Thamserku 21,674'.
Day 07: With the Rinpoche's blessing we travel on to Dingboche (14,450') via the Imja valley. The trail is gradually sloped for most of the morning as we make our way past the nunnery at Devuche. Dingboche is a stunning village of stone huts known as the summer village for local herders. The mountain views are outstanding from this valley as Makalu stands in the distance.
Day 08: We remain in Dingboche for another night to better acclimatize. We take a 4-hour walk to Chukkung which offers exquisite views of Island Peak and the North Face of Lhotse.
Day 09: From Dingboche we continue through this high alpine region to the settlement of Lobuje (16,174'), where we spend one night. This trail passes through a famous Sherpa memorial.
Day 10: The trail winds through the high tundra and glacial moraine to Gorak Shep (16,924'), the last inhabited area before Everest Base Camp. After lunch depending time/weather make an ascent of Kala Patar (18,300'), a small peak with excellent views of Everest, Nuptse and nearby Pumori. Many Everest photos are taken from the summit of Kala Pattar. Gorak Shep presents a rougher environment and gives the trekker the true flavor of the nighttime rigors of mountaineering.
Day 11: We leave Gorak Shep and cross the moraine of the great Khumbu glacier to reach Base Camp, which lies beneath the sweeping ridges of Everest and Nuptse. Everest Base Camp at 17,300' is a sprawling tent city set amidst glacial debris. Here the climbers begin final preparations for their ascent of Mt. Everest. We spend a few hours at base getting a sense of the community and meeting climbers before returning to Gorak Shep. During our visit to camp we venture to the edge of the notorious Khumbu Ice Fall. From here, we see climbers en route as they negotiate this complex maze of ice.
Day 12: We begin our return to lower altitudes and quickly feel the difference in our lungs. This night is spent in the village of Pheriche (13,907') which is not far from Dingboche. Pheriche has become famous for its high altitude research center. The center attracts world-renowned physicians who acquire data to analyze the effects of high altitude on human physiology. During our stay we visit the research center and have time to chat with staff physicians.
Day 13: Enjoying the downhill walks we take our time and return to Phortse by afternoon. By the early spring this spot remains spectacular, as the rhododendron forests come into full bloom!
Day 14: From Phortse we will climb down to Namche Bazaar, having stopped at Hotel Everest View at Syangboche. After arriving at Namche we might feel a big transition from remote village to suddenly a center of commerce where we spend the afternoon shopping little things for back at home, getting shaves-if like to, sampling food and enjoying all the thrills of "urban" life.
Day 15: a downhill walking to Fakding. Last glimpses of Mt. Everest while climbing down – before to arrive at Dhdh Koshi.
Day 16: an easy and short walk to Lukla. From Lukla we prepare for the flight back to Kathmandu. For our last night in the Khumbu region, we have a celebration with folk sons and traditional dances from our staffs. It is a memorable night with much laughter and general merriment.
Day 17: Early morning flight to KTM and we spend much of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the deluxe services of Hotel.
Day 18/19: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley and cultural programme at the association.
Day 20: transfer to airport and fly back to Home.
